Te marama[takatā pūtake]

Which marama (month) names should we use?
As noted on Talk:Rārangi marama, the experts disagree on what the names ARE. Also, the "English-looking" names are generally shorter and therefore easier to use (and easier for us Pākehā to remember). We could use "both" - but it makes the page look a bit cluttered. Before long we will have pages for individual months, which will need linking to, and so it goes on... - :Robin Patterson 01:12, 5 May 2004 (UTC)

It may, of course, be quite some time before we have enough content even in the recent years to want to bother having separate articles for specific months of specific years. But an article for each month (listing events throughout history) is OK initially - see Pepuere, for example. Robin Patterson 07:27, 1 Sep 2004 (UTC)

The format for individual years is being gradually improved (with help from the English version). If creating a new "year", copy what you can of the formatting from one of the recent years, eg 2004, which are the most likely to have the latest enhancements while I'm doing most of them. IDEAS for other improvements will be very welcome! Robin Patterson 07:27, 1 Sep 2004 (UTC)
