A welcome but anonymous contributor added a comment to the article so that it looked like this:
"

  • He pūru taitama
  • He putiputi pai
  • Māku rā pea
  • Pā mai
  • Te aroha
  • Tēnā koutou
  • Tōia mai
  • Tūtira mai ngā iwi

THESE ARE ALL NAMES OF MAORI SONGS WRITTEN BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE SECOND WORLD WAR."

Problem with the above comment (after reading "AND" as "and/or") is that it applies to every song ever written. Maybe the writer meant something like "... written shortly before ..."

But let's keep the overall list for readers who know the first word or two of the name of a song but have no idea when or why it was written. I'm planning to add some more song titles to the list. I will remove the above comment, because it's technically meaningless even for the existing songs on the list and, even with the "shortly" added, it might become incorrect once more songs were added (eg someone might add a very old one).

Kia ora koutou (and how about trying some page creation, those of you who haven't done an article?!) Robin Patterson 00:50, 7 Jul 2004 (UTC)
