However, as indicated on the "Community portal" page, this website is a free, cooperative, Māori-language encyclopedia (currently the only one in existence), not a Maaori-to-English dictionary, of which there are several, eg:

It would be good if you could use your skills to write articles in te reo Māori or to improve existing articles.

English language is perfectly acceptable on "Talk" pages, such as this, or on your "User" page if you log in, but please try to use only te reo Māori on article pages in this Wikipedia.

It's possible some of us could contribute "articles" like yours to the multi-lingual online dictionary, "Wiktionary". Maybe you can start by covering some of the other meanings of "tamariki", such as kid, infancy, juvenile, youth, knee-high, under-age (and describing the subtle variations of meaning); then we can move it all to Wiktionary.
