Ko te parāoa he whakangote noho i wai moana nui. Ko te ingoa pūtaiao he Physeter macrocephalus.^[1] Ka rite tōna tinana ki tētahi ika. Tino nui he tinana; ko te roa toharite o te tinana parāoa toa i te 16 m, te roa toharite o te tinana parāoa uwha i te 11 m.^[2]
