I don't mind having the translations removed AFTER we have as many articles written by good Maori speakers as we have by people such as me who are really not Maori speakers.

Until then, readers can accept that contributors who have only a sketchy understanding of Maori should continue to be encouraged, not discouraged.

I hope today's anonymous contributor is fluent in Maori and can start making positive improvements to this Wikipedia. Robin Patterson 06:09, 10 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Would someone please make the message visible again?
