Katiu

Ko ngā kupu "katiu" (i te reo Tonga) me "‘atiu" (i te reo Hāmoa) he ngā ingoa mōhiohia waenga i ngā tangata Ao-o-Kiwa mō tētahi momo tipu taka mai e Āhia-ki-te-tonga-mā-rāwhiti me whakatuputupu ki ngā whenua pārūrū. Ko te ingoa pūtaiao o tēnei tipu he Cucumis melo.[1] Ko ngā ingoa Pākehā he rock melon (i whakamaoria ki te ingoa "merengi rāka"), me cantaloupe. I mōhio te tāngata Māori ā-Aotearoa tēnei tipu ki te ingoa "kākāriki".
