Table now has all but a couple of the L.J.Metcalf (1972) Maori names and a couple of others I got from elsewhere since starting on his. But there must be scores more - what about all our beech trees? I'll be looking at other sources with a view to making additions; and I may need to go back to Metcalf for details. His book doesn't leave the house. Robin Patterson 02:59, 28 Aug 2004 (UTC)

I admit an inconsistency where the same plant has two Maori names. I think the puka/pukanui model is a bit better than listing the alternative in a note, so I may tidy some of those unless someone else does. Robin Patterson 02:59, 28 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Binomials should be italicised. Aue, te mahi. Kahuroa 23:03, 4 Pipiri 2006 (UTC)
